CCLA Curriculum

The CCLA curriculum establishes a standard of excellence by placing a strong emphasis on:

imageScripture memorization is heavily emphasized at all grade levels.

A strong Reading and Phonics program begins in K3 with letters and sounds along with letter formation. As the students practice eye/hand coordination they trace and glue items to the letters. Because of the phonics emphasis, K4 students are blending/reading one vowel words as early as October. They progress to reading groups by the 2nd semester.

Number Skills and Concepts are taught through listening, counting, coloring, and following directions. Students are provided with an excellent foundation for math.

imageThe goal of Handwriting is to develop fine motor skills and complement the Phonics.

Physical and Social Development rounds out the CCLA curriculum with focus on indoor centers and free play as well as outdoor on the new playground.
