Important Changes to Next Year’s School Calendar

School Calendar for 2020-2021: Over the course of the last year, the Board of Trustees, along with the school’s leadership team, has reviewed our current school calendar. The point of the exercise was to determine whether our current school calendar, basically mimicking the local public school system, was the best fit for our parents and students. The process included input from schools around the state and nation. As a result, Conway Christian will alter our school calendar to include a fall break at the completion of the first nine weeks, while shortening our summer break by one week. The first day of school will be August 5th, with the fall break falling the week of October 5th-9th, the last day of school is May 21st. All other holidays and breaks will remain similar to previous years.  For a list of 2020-2021 important dates click here . 
 
New School Podcast: Beginning this week Mr. Carson, along with our Director of Biblical Worldview, Dr. Billy Crow, will begin a monthly podcast focused on maximizing your partnership with Conway Christian. The Triple P (Parent Partnership Podcast) will be released every month in the Eagle Weekly. Join us as we discuss hot topics in education, challenges facing parents and the latest happenings at CCS! 
 
Lunch Orders Open: Lunch orders for the weeks of January 27 - February 7 are now open for ordering. Orders will close the end of the day Thursday, January 23.

Booster Club Basketball Chili Cook-Off: February 4, 2020 the Booster Club will host a Chili Cook-Off competition!  We will accept the first 12 entries.  Entries need to be submitted via email to Coach Kramer at  jkramer@ conwaychristianschool.net .   Prizes will be awarded for Best Taste and Most Creative Name.  Tickets for bowls of chili will be sold for $7 through the concession stand (persons will receive a ticket to take to the chili tables), or $1 for chili topping on burgers or hot dogs.
New Family Open House: We will be hosting two Open House events for prospective new families. These Open Houses are scheduled for February 11th and 25th at 8:30am in the Lower School Media Center. For more information, please direct interested families to the school’s website or our social media accounts.
Elementary STEAM Night: The Museum of Discovery’s Elementary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) Night is for students in Kindergarten-5th grade. This is a great night full of fun, hands-on activities and two awesome shows! Join us Tuesday, January 21st 5:30-7:00PM in the Lower School Commons.

February 24 - 28- Missions Week

February 26-  Noon Dismissal - Teacher Professional Development
