Spirit Day, Cell Phones in School Zones, Sick Day Policy

Spirit Day: Friday, February 3rd will be a Spirit Day for Preschool - 12th grade. Students, teachers and staff may wear jeans and a CCS t-shirt.
 
Preschool & Kindergarten Open House: Parents of K3, K4 and Kindergarten age children please make plans to attend one of our Open House sessions on Tuesday, February 7th. You may choose either 8:30am or 5:30pm. Please RSVP srowlett@conwaychristianschool.net to reserve your time. If you know of a family interested in our program, please invite them to this Open House experience.

Cell Phones in School Zone Reminder: Parents and student drivers, please note Arkansas Code 27-51-1609 states that “…a driver of a motor vehicle shall not use a handheld wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle when passing a school building or school zone during school hours when children are present and outside the building.”
Arkansas Act 37 defines a handheld wireless telephone as a wireless interactive communication device with which a user engages in wireless interactive communication using at least one hand.
The definition excludes “hands-free” devices that allow for wireless communication without the use of either hand with an attachment or internal feature.
 
Sick Day Policy: The health of our students, faculty and staff is most important to us. Please keep in mind, during this season, that the sickness of one may affect many. Please be proactive in fighting against the various sicknesses that are easily spread during this time. Students must remain home…
If they have a temperature over 100 degrees.
If they have had vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours.
If they have a contagious cold with watery nose, glassy eyes, and persistent cough or sneeze.
If your child is sent home from school with a temperature over 100 degrees, vomiting, or diarrhea, they may NOT return to school until they are symptom free without medication for 24 HOURS!
 
If your child will be absent please notify the appropriate school office by 10:00am.
 
February Lunch Volunteers Needed: There are several days in February in need of volunteers. Your help is necessary to make the lunch program a success. Please click here for Sign-Up Genius if you can help serve.
 
Box Tops Information and Volunteers Needed: We need 7,000 more Box Tops by February 15th for our students to win a No Uniform Day and Extra Recess. Volunteers are needed to organize, cut and count box tops. Please contact Rebecca White at becca21white@gmail.com if you can help.

Blood Drive: Next Tuesday, February 7, starting at 8:00 - 2:30. Please come and give the gift of life at the CCS Blood Drive located at the Upper School library. We need to reach 38 units in order for CCS to receive scholarship money for our students.
