Our K3
students begin their phonetic journey to reading by recognizing
the names, sounds, and pictures for short vowels and consonants.
In handwriting, the 3 year olds begin the formation of letters
in both upper and lower case letters. Their language development
and listening skills include color words, shapes, animals,
transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety,
manners, and science. In numbers, they work on simple counting
1-30 and number concepts 1-15.
Bible
lessons such as Creation, Noah, and Boy Samuel are taught
in K3. Bible memory verses are recited and hymns and choruses
are sung throughout their class time.
Students
entering K3 must be three by September 15. CCS offers K3 Monday,
Wednesday, & Friday 8:20-11:30 a.m.
