Bible
is the most important subject in the Christian school. The
A Beka Book Bible Program presents the Bible in story form
through use of A Beka Book color Flash-a-Cards. The lessons
flow from the Word of God, through the heart of the teacher,
to the heart of the student. The daily curriculum includes
Bible Doctrinal Drill, hymns and choruses, and Scripture memory.
Character
training is one of the supreme goals of Christian education.
Children must be faithfully trained, line upon line, precept
upon precept, day after day. Every subject area, every teaching
method, every attitude, every action of student or teacher
is a means of training character. In the A Beka Book Kindergarten
Program, character is taught through Biblical discipline,
through traditional teaching methods and curriculums, through
Bible teaching, and through the formation of habit.
CCS'
kindergarten and K4 programs are committed to seeing that
our children have maximum growth academically, physically,
and spiritually, thus providing them with the readiness skills
needed for a successful academic future. This we provide with
the use of curriculum carefully selected to promote child
growth and development.
Children
learn easily through games, repetition and participation.
Our curriculum provides fun and learning time such as free
play interaction, story times, visits from community helpers,
field trips, art and music.
K4
The
A Beka Four-Year-Old Program provides the same phonics approach
that is used in the kindergarten curriculum. They begin with
letters and sounds and then progress to simple words and sentences.
The Little Books 1-10 and Little Owl Books allow each child
to progress at his own reading level and use very simple words
that have been carefully selected so that children are not
pressed to read difficult words until they are ready. Children
are given a solid learning foundation in an enjoyable atmosphere.
There are many creative activities and crafts that make learning
a fun experience for our children. CCS offers a three-day
program for K4, meeting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,
half or full days. Half days meet 8:20 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.; full days
meet 8:20 am - 3:20 am. Children may enter K4 if they are four
before September 1.
Kindergarten

reading skills using an intensive phonics approach and has
been highly successful in training young reader nationwide
for more than forty years. A kindergarten day includes Bible,
art, music, phonics, numbers, enters, snacks, and of course,
recess. As you can see, a Kindergarten day is a busy day.
Kindergarten graduation, complete with cap and gown, will
be a time that you and your child will cherish for years to
come. CCS offers half day and full day Kindergarten. K-5 Half Day
