Before I get started, our school offices will be open today from 9am-2pm if you need any assistance.
This morning begins our AMI (alternate method of instruction) days allowed by the state to keep from extending our school year. This is due to school being canceled because of COVID-19. Each teacher will be available for student/parent needs during this AMI time. Please feel free to email them with any questions.
As we begin these AMI days please remember a few things:
This is an unprecedented experience for our faculty and staff. Please understand we are going to do the very best we can to manage this situation but we might experience hiccups along the way. We’ll conquer the week by leaning on our partnership.
All teachers do a review after spring break. This year we’ll have to focus on that review even more than normal because of the extended time away from class.
Words for the week. Our upper school students are more than capable of handling the instruction coming to them and the time frame. The daily turn in is a required element of AMI days for JH/SH students. Students in the lower grades may be a bit more of a challenge for parents. Don’t stress it too much and lean on the teachers if needed. Again, we’ll thoroughly review what has been missed in the classroom when we return. The main thing is to just get the work done by the end of this week.
Be safe! Enjoy some downtime with the family, and we’ll see you in a couple weeks!
As always if you have any questions feel free to let us know.
