Cornovirus Update April 6th, 2020

April 06, 2020
By Jason Carson

Today the governor announced all schools will remain in AMI instruction for the rest of the school year. This comes as sad news because our mission, core values and daily routines are built on partnering in person with our students and parents. However, we feel strongly that our AMI instruction is providing a robust educational platform for students to learn and learn well. Because of this we are prepared to continue offering our biblically-directed, college preparatory education all the way to the finish line including as many personal touches as possible. Please know this, I could not be more proud of the partnership I’m witnessing with our teachers and your homes. We are doing more than getting through this time, we are excelling...together! Let’s press on.

A few important updates then please watch this video for more information.

Financial Aid: Over the next few months times might become difficult for families. We are here to help! The school recently received additional resources (due to a gracious donation) to assist families whose income has been affected due to COVID-19. Please don’t hesitate to contact the school’s business office for additional information.

Online platforms: We are getting better every day using our online platforms. I’m confident by next week we will all be experts. Here is a summary of who is using what to assign and turn in work.
PK: Classtag
Kindergarten: Online lessons, no Renweb LMS
1st-6th: Renweb LMS
7th-12th: Google Classroom and Canvas
As always, if you have any questions please contact us and remember to not stress if you hit a bump in the road...we'll figure it out as we go.

Trivia Nights: We’ve got a new idea from a sister school out of Houston, Texas. It’s called CrowdPurr Trivia Night. Each Tuesday night we’re going to hold a trivia night as a school family. Get online by 7:00 each Tuesday and play as a family. The winning team gets pizza delivered to your house the following night! We’ll send a new link via Eagle Weekly each week.

Share and YouTube Channel: We want to see your children and how well they are working during this AMI time. Please email us a good pic or short video to so we can share online. Also, we have set up a YouTube channel for communicating during this AMI time. Please take a look when you get time and watch any videos that may be helpful for your family. Link to our school’s YouTube Channel:
