Check the list regularly

Don’t forget to check in and see how you’re doing. Just because you don’t achieve the big goals right away doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.

Write about something you know. If you don’t know much about a specific topic that will interest your readers, invite an expert to write about it.

Speak to your audience

You know your audience better than anyone else, so keep them in mind as you write your blog posts. Write about things they care about. If you have a company Facebook page, look here to find topics to write about

Take a few moments to plan your post

Once you have a great idea for a post, write the first draft. Some people like to start with the title and then work on the paragraphs. Other people like to start with subtitles and go from there. Choose the method that works for you.

Don’t forget to add images

Be sure to include a few high-quality images in your blog. Images break up the text and make it more readable. They can also convey emotions or ideas that are hard to put into words.

Edit carefully before posting

Once you’re happy with the text, put it aside for a day or two, and then re-read it. You’ll probably find a few things you want to add, and a couple more that you want to remove. FRIDAY’S SCHEDULE: This Friday, May 15th is the last day of school.

Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:30.
Upper School students will not be on campus unless scheduled ahead of time with the teacher. Friday is a makeup day for finals.

POP TOP TABS DRIVE: Tomorrow, May 14th is the final day to turn in pop top tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald Charities of Arkansas. Their organization provides a “home away from home” including lodging and meals for families of children facing extended hospital stays in Little Rock. They also host a NICU family room at UAMS as well as a mobile dental unit that provides free dental care to schools around Arkansas. Let’s pull together to make a difference!

Elementary Awards Assembly: The 1st - 5th grade awards assembly will be tomorrow (Thursday, May 14th) at 9:30 in the auditorium.

ELEMENTARY SPIRIT DAY: Spirit Day for K-5th is tomorrow, THURSDAY, May 14th from 12:30pm-2:45pm!

Here are a few things you need to know to help your child have a safe, fun-filled day:

Students may wear uniform length athletic shorts with their spirit day t-shirt or CCS shirt and shoes suitable for outdoor play.
Make sure to go all out in your grade’s color!
Remember no face paint, colored hair sprays or gels.
Students will need to bring their lunch to school.
The students will be spending part of their time in the sun. If they burn easily, please send sunscreen.
Kona Ice will be served to all kids during the activities. ( provided by PTF)
Activities for grades K-5th will be all dry activities

CCS CEREAL DRIVE: During the summer months, many families lose access to school meals, making the need for food assistance critical. We are proud to partner with THV11 and The Arkansas Foodbank for this year’s Summer Cereal Drive to help bridge this gap for students in our community.

Through this Friday, May 8th, we are collecting boxes of cereal, granola bars, PopTarts and instant oatmeal. There are drop-off locations at both the elementary and upper school.

Let’s win the Cheerio! Award! As a first-year participant, CCS is eligible for the Cheerio! Award, given to the new team that collects the most cereal. Let’s show our Eagle pride and bring home a win during our very first year!

PTF NO UNIFORM DAY: The May PTF No Uniform Day is this Thursday, May 7th. Elementary students may bring $5 on the morning of the no uniform day and pay at the front door. Intermediate and high school students can turn in their money at the office to Mrs. Turner. In addition, parents may pay ahead of time through PTF’s Square account, which can be accessed here: https://conway-christian-school-ptf.square.site/

On no uniform days, students may wear hats and caps (no hats or caps in the classroom), sportswear including athletic pants or shorts of uniform length, and jeans (no jeggings/leggings). Students may wear non-CCS t-shirts that are appropriate for a Christian school. Students may not wear tank tops. Dress must be modest and neat.

Final Lunch Orders Due: Lunch orders for the last two weeks of school, May 4th - 13th are due at the end of the day this Thursday, April 30th. There will be no hot lunches served on Thursday, May 14th or Friday, May 15th (early dismissal on Friday). Please bring a sack lunch on Thursday.

If you have a student in Upper School, please check the finals schedule before placing your order.
1st grade students should not order lunches for Friday, May 8th. They will have a pizza party that day.
4th grade students should not order lunches for Monday, May 11th. They will be on a field trip.
Kindergarten students should not order lunches for Tuesday, May 12th. They will be having a picnic lunch.

We’re excited to share a new way Kids Run Arkansas funds will be distributed to participating schools this year. Here’s how it will work:
Schools that reach 10 designated participants will unlock funding for their school’s physical education program. Schools must have at least 10 participants to qualify for funding. After that point, every additional participant helps increase the amount of funding returned to that school. We currently have 17 registered participants for Conway Christian.
Once a school reaches that threshold, it will receive funding based on participation, including registration revenue and additional support made possible by our annual sponsors. Schools with the highest percentage of participation will be awarded scholarships to support their Physical Education programs!
