Eagle Weekly Special Edition: Important Announcement
November 30, 2018
Dear Parents,
I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving with your family, enjoying some down time and a few too many desserts! This time of the year makes me reflect on many areas of my life in which I am thankful. One of those areas is with our school leadership. I am blessed to work with men and women who love the Lord and love your students.
Over the course of the past year one of my leadership team members, Dr. Billy Crow, and I have brainstormed a new opportunity for our school. It involves wrapping our biblical worldview program (K-12), chapels, outreach, activities and our new discipleship program into a new position we’d refer to as Director of Christian Life. As we continued to discuss how important this position will be for our student outcomes, Dr. Crow began to get very excited about potentially sliding from his position of Upper School Principal to the Director of Christian Life, a lateral move that still has leadership responsibilities. After much prayer and reflection we have decided this will be the best move for our school and for Dr. Crow. I’m very excited to see how Dr. Crow’s devotion to Christ, understanding of God’s word and love for students will impact our school in this new position.
Because of this planned move we will immediately begin looking for a new Upper School Principal. This will be a nationwide search committed to obtaining the best possible leader for our Upper School faculty, staff and students. If you or someone in your network knows of a godly man or woman with the necessary qualifications (love for Christ and others, experience and academic prowess) please don’t hesitate to notify me. There will be a job description posted sometime next week on our website. In the time being, as we conduct the full extent of our search, Dr. Crow will remain as our Upper School Principal continuing to work faithfully as he always has done. Our goal will be to have the new principal in place by August 2019. However, nationwide searches are extensive, so that time table could extend into next school year allowing us to find the right person.
We are very excited about this transition. There is no doubt God is at work here, not only with Dr. Crow as our soon to be new Director of Christian Life, but with whomever He shall lead to us as our new Upper School Principal. Your words of thankfulness to Dr. Crow and prayers for our new principal would be very welcomed. Have a great weekend and as always if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Home Playoff Game Friday, Article from Mr. Carson, Eagles Nest Specials
November 14, 2018
2nd Round Home Playoff Game: The Eagles take on Fordyce this Friday at Mission Field. The game is set for 7:00. We need a big crowd to come out and support the team as they continue their pursuit of a state championship. The weather is predicted to be nice so make plans to cheer on the Eagles! Reminder: No booster or employee passes will be accepted as this is an Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) event. Gate admission is $6 for students and adults.
Round 2 Playoff Volunteers Needed: We need help at the gate, with concessions, the grill and clean up this Friday night as we host Round 2 of the playoff games. Please click this link if you can help in any area.
Article from Mr. Carson: This is an interesting post from a leading education consultant and sociologist. He briefly discusses some reasons why the current generation (Gen Z) is hesitant to accept responsibility and then a tip on how to motivate them. It’s a quick, good read. Also, Tim Elmore might be someone you’d like to follow for good advice on Gen Z.
Basketball Volunteers Needed: Now is the time to sign up to volunteer for basketball concessions! Please click here to sign up if you can help.
Eagles Nest: There is a special online order currently open just this week for new fall/winter apparel. These items are perfect for playoff football games, Christmas presents or for students to wear at school. This special sale is only available this week, closing on Friday (11/16) at midnight. Dear Conway Christian Families,
As we approach Veteran’s Day on November 11, we thank God for each military person who has served our country.
A special chapel service honoring our veterans will be held this Wednesday, November 7 at 9:30 a.m. in the gym. If you have served in the military or are currently serving, we invite you and your family to this special service. We also encourage you to invite family members and friends who have served our country. We would like to recognize them and thank them personally for their service and sacrifice.
Please keep our soldiers and their families in your prayers. May we never forget the sacrifices that have been made on our behalf for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
Sincerely,

Hall Pass Safety System; Little Dribblers
November 01, 2018
Hall Pass: We are wanting to remind all CCS families about our electronic monitoring system. Hall Pass is an electronic safety system that logs all visitors and volunteers at both the Upper and Lower School. Each time you visit for lunch or volunteer in the classroom, please stop by the office and you will be issued a badge with your name and picture on it. If you have never had your driver’s license scanned when entering our building, please bring it with you the next time you visit so we can enter you into our system.
*If you visit the Lower School campus on a regular basis and would like to expedite the process of receiving a badge, key fobs are available for purchase for $1 in the Lower School office.
Little Dribblers: Please check the Eagle Weekly email for the form and more information if you have a 3rd through 6th grade student interested in being on the Conway Christian Little Dribblers team.
