The Conway Christian Elementary School houses our Preschool thru 5th-grade students, where our halls are filled with joy, eagerness, and the excitement to learn! Walk through the campus of the Conway Christian Elementary School and you will see a dynamic, evolving, and energetic atmosphere inspiring children to reach their full God-designed potential.

Our primary goal is for our students to develop a life-long passion for learning, engaged in a college-preparatory academic experience bathed in the love of Jesus. Our partnership between the home and church often times leads to a life-altering discipleship experience which impacts our student's lives, not only in their formative years, but for the journey of life.

Each class at Conway Christian is taught through the lens of a Biblical Worldview, integrating God's truth into all that we do.

Conway Christian Elementary School (K-5th) Curriculum Includes:

Kindergarten – 5th grade:

  • Bob Jones curriculum for English, Reading, Spelling, History, Bible, and Science

In addition to curriculum classes, we offer the following activities:

  • Art: Kindergarten – 5th grades
  • STEM: Kindergarten – 5th grades
  • Library: PreK – 5th grades
  • Music: PreK – 5th grades
  • Physical Education: Kindergarten – 5th grades

Our test scores confirm the success of our comprehensive approach to educating the child as a whole.

A worldview is the lens of ideas and values through which we see, evaluate and behave in all areas of life.  Our beliefs about the nature of man, the possibilities of knowledge, ethics, politics, science, and history all flow from our worldview.  It is the foundation of our belief system and embodies our most basic presuppositions about God and His relationship to man and nature.

A well-developed Christian worldview will affect literature, current events, math, and science.  At Conway Christian, we want our students to view the world through a Biblical lens, to be equipped to engage the world with scriptural discernment, and to make positive, Christian contributions to our world.

Biblical integration is fundamental to our commitment to teaching from a distinctly Christian worldview.  By integrating the truth and context of Scripture into all subject areas from the earliest grades onward, students are trained to always consider how the idea at hand, whether it be history, literature or science, aligns – or fails to align -  with the Word of God.  Biblical integration goes beyond the addition of a Bible class to the curriculum.  It requires the examination of all subjects in light of Biblical truth.

As Christians, we have a greater purpose in education than simply gathering knowledge.  The more we learn in every subject, the more we understand about our God and His work.  At Conway Christian, our ultimate goal is training each student to think about the world the way God does.

Conway Christian Library Access
Accelerated Reader

Conway Christian School is committed to enhancing and strengthening our Accelerated Reader (AR) program. The acclaimed reading and testing program was adopted by schools nationwide over the past several years. Students in 3rd - 5th grades will participate in Accelerated Reader and will have weekly scheduled AR time. Students have access to quizzes for easy, juvenile and upper-level fiction and nonfiction books. Because AR is web-based, we always have access to the most up-to-date quizzes available, plus selected quizzes that the vast AR program already offers to schools.

We also have the STAR program, a reading assessment program which enables teachers to better determine individualized reading levels and goals for our students. (Understanding STAR Test Result Reports)

Music

Students at the Elementary School participate in weekly music classes from PreK - 5th grade. Younger classes, including preschool, learn worship songs, rhythm instruments, boomwhackers, and music games. Third & fourth grades learn music theory and how to play flutophones.  Fifth grade continues work on music theory while also learning about composers. All grades work during the fall semester to present the Elementary School Christmas Musical in December.

Physical Education

In our Physical Ed. program, the students not only receive physical exercise, but the importance of working as a team, respect of self and others, critical and creative thinking skills and developing coordination.

Elementary School Visual Arts

Conway Christian's Elementary School visual arts program provides students the opportunity to express themselves through hands on media, being inspired through a Biblical perspective of creating and glorifying God through their ideas and talents. Art is offered K-5th on a weekly basis during activity period. Here students learn about the elements and principles of design, art history, and art criticism experiences that aid in inspiration for putting various techniques into practice. Students will explore different materials such as dry and wet media (painting, collage, pastels, graphite, pen and ink) and sculpture (clay, plaster, cardboard, found materials).

Many independent art opportunities will be advertised for students, such as community events and contests not associated with the school, as well as the school's annual art festival. Our goal is to provide students a foundation of learning about art and developing their own skills, with an understanding that the Lord is the ultimate creator and we are to enjoy and reflect Him in everything we do.

"He has made everything beautiful in it's time" Ecclesiastes 3:11

Our performance routine includes jumping rope while on pogo sticks, pogo balls, triple unders, back handsprings, walk-overs and using lighted jump ropes.

The team was started in 2013 in hopes to encourage kids to maintain a healthy lifestyle while using their God-given gifts to work together as a team to glorify Christ and share His light with our community.
