The game is part of Hooten’s annual event to kick off the high school football season. This matchup features two preseason top 10 ranked teams, so it should be a fun night of football! Tickets are available now and are presale only. Tickets can be purchased in the Upper School office this week. Beginning next week tickets can be found in our Eagles Nest store located in the Lower School as well as the Upper School office. Important Back to School Dates: All Family Orientation (K2-12th) will be held on Monday, August 14th at 6:00pm the Gymnasium. Please plan on attending. You will hear from Mr. Carson during this time and have the opportunity to visit with teachers. Open House (K2-12th) will be held on Tuesday, August 15th from10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. This is your time to bring classroom supplies, set up lockers and meet other students/parents. Teachers will be available to answer any last minute questions.
First Day of School: Our first day will be a half day with normal start times. Lower School dismissal will be at 11:45 a.m. and Upper School at 12:00 p.m. No lunch service will be provided the first three days of school and no extended care on our first day. Thursday we begin normal school hours including extended care.
School Hours: Lower School hours are 8:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. (with doors opening at 7:45 a.m.). Our Upper School hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (with doors open at 7:30, hallways open at 7:45). *This time is correct, last week’s Eagle Weekly contained incorrect times for the Upper School
Dress Code: There is one addition to the dress code for Lower School students. Lower School girls may now wear a red or navy “polo dress” with shorts underneath. This dress has a drop waist and collar, and is made from the same fabric as our uniform polo shirts. The Upper School has also made one change and will now allow students to wear button down collared oxford shirts. They may be of any color and also different styles (plaid, striped, checked, etc.) while adhering to our no logo policy. The complete dress code can be found in the student handbook on our website.
New Cell Phone Policy for Upper School: Our current cell phone policy for Lower School has been extended to all students, thru 12th grade. This policy states that students may not use their cell phone during school hours, the only exception is during an emergency. Students may have the cell phone on their person, in a backpack or in their locker but it must be powered off and out of sight at all times. If it’s visible, it will be taken up by the teacher and sent to the office until returned to a parent or student. Students may use their cell phone before and after school hours.
