Thank you to our School Board members

School Board: January is national School Board recognition month. We are very fortunate to have a fantastic school board (we call them the Board of Trustees). These men and women volunteer their time to lead the school by keeping us mission-centered, creating and adapting policy and procedures, setting fiduciary guidelines and working with the school’s president. They do a wonderful job and we are so thankful for their support. When you see one of them, give them a heartfelt thank you. Current school board members are: Randy Lewis (Chair), Ladd Ellis (Vice-Chair), Mark Wood, Blake Day, Patricia Quick, Cindy Hendricks, Jay Strickland, Donny Bradley and Katie Henry.
 
Open Houses Announced: We will be hosting two Open House events for prospective new families. They are scheduled for February 12th and 26th at 8:30am in the Lower School Media Center. For more information please direct interested families to the school’s website or our social media accounts.
 
Yearbook (PK2 - 6th grade): Don’t miss out on getting a yearbook! February 15th is the deadline to order. The cost is $45, order online HERE, send cash or check with your student payable to: Conway Christian Yearbook.  (Students in grades 7-12 receive a yearbook as part of tuition, but you can order additional copies.)

Eagles Nest: Beginning February 1st, we will be having a “February Flash Sale”.  Every item in the Eagles Nest will be 35% off.  This discount will apply to in-store sales and online sales.  Please use PROMO CODE: “FLASH” when ordering online. Drama Spring Play: Preparations are underway for this year’s drama play, “Best in the West”.  Come join us on March 14, 2019 and enjoy a fun time of entertainment from the CCS drama club cast! Shows are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (elementary matinee) and 7:00 p.m. Cost of admission is $5.

Video Gaming: Understanding our students and your children is a big part of our partnership in Christian, college preparatory education. Dr. Tim Elmore and his team are helping lead the charge in understanding Generation Z. Mr. Carson reads his blog regularly and feels this week’s edition is of particular interest to our community. His blog for this week focuses on the challenges children are facing when it comes to video game addiction, specifically Fortnite. If this is something you are dealing with, please take a minute to read their comments. They offer some reasons behind the addiction and some practical steps to help move children away from this addiction.   
 
 
Dads and Donuts: We invite all PK2 - 12th grade dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures to join us on Friday, January 25th between 7:45 - 8:30 for coffee and donuts sponsored by Krispy Kreme! Get a great start to your day with a fun and memorable time with your kids!
 
100th Day of School: We will celebrate our 100th day of the 2018-19 school year on Friday, January 25th. Lower School students may wear a 100th day of school t-shirt or a CCS t-shirt and jeans.
