Terra Nova Testing, CCS Golf Tournament, Kids Run Arkansas

Terra Nova Testing: Terra Nova testing will be next week. Students will be testing until their lunch break. Please do not schedule appointments during testing times. Absences should be emergencies only. It is very important for students to be here on time each day. To help students do their very best on their tests, they should get plenty of rest each night, eat a healthy breakfast each morning and bring a healthy snack to school. Thank you for your help in each of these areas.
Progress Report: If you haven’t read Mr. Carson’s recent Progress Update outlining recent improvements, upcoming projects and a key new hire you can read it here. * If you use Microsoft Outlook, the email from Tuesday may not have displayed properly thus omitting much of the information. Please use the link to double check.
Golf Tournament Information: The 11th annual Conway Christian Booster Club Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, April 24th at Conway Country Club. The CCS Booster Club invites you to join us in supporting the 200 student-athletes competing in the 19 sports offered at Conway Christian. This event is the main fundraiser of the year for the CCS Athletic Department. The money raised goes directly to support our athletes. It is imperative that Conway Christian has a successful golf tournament on April 24th, but we will not be successful without you! We’re asking each Conway Christian family (pre-K - 12th grade) to be a part of the golf tournament by volunteering, sponsoring or competing in the event. The Sponsorship Form and Team Entry Form can be obtained by contacting Holly Martin.
Kids Run Arkansas: Kids Run Arkansas is a 1 mile & 3 mile run/walk race presented by Conway Regional Health and Fitness Center. This race is open to newborns (parents pushing strollers count) through 12th grade students in Faulkner County schools. Families are encouraged to participate together and a family discount is available. Scholarships are awarded to schools based on the number of students participating and benefit our Physical Education program. Conway Christian is currently in a distant 3rd place position. We want to take 1st place and win the highest scholarship awarded, so we need you to sign up now! Click here to register for the race and order your t-shirt. The registration fee includes an event t-shirt, finisher’s medal, goody bag and post-race snacks. The deadline to order your t-shirt is Tuesday, April 4th.
Lunch Orders: Lunch orders for the weeks including April 1st - April 14th will close at the end of the day today. Please be sure to check your child’s schedule before placing your lunch order.

Dismissal for 9th-12th Grade: This Friday, March 17th, we will dismiss 9th-12th grade students at 12:20pm because of student involvement in the school drama production. All students 8th grade and down will have regularly scheduled classes. If you’d like to check out a younger sibling during the school day we will not count them as absent or tardy for an early checkout. If you have a high school student who needs to stay on campus our teachers will be present thus we are more than happy to watch any student staying until our normal dismissal time. Reminder: Both campuses will be closed next week (March 20th - 24th) for Spring Break.
Drama Club Spring Musical: Make plans to join us tomorrow for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Showtimes are 2pm and 7pm. Cost is $5.00. At our 2:00pm show, our elementary students will attend free of charge. Elementary parents may attend as well by paying $5 at the door. Our play mission project this year is the Strain House at Soaring Wings Ranch. You may support the mission by purchasing items off their wish lists.
Missions Week Project Deadline: Today is the deadline for dropping off items for the Strain House at Soaring Wings Ranch. If you would still like to support this ministry, you may drop your items off at the Spring Musical tomorrow (Thursday) night.

Option 1: CCS Spirit Day-- (All Campus: PreK thru 12th Grade) Students may wear jeans and a Conway Christian T-shirt/Sweatshirt/Hoodie!
Option 2: St. Patrick’s Day
-- (PreK thru 6th Grade only) Students may wear a green shirt with their jeans or uniform pants/shorts/skirts.

Drama Club Spring Play: Drama Club invites you to our production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on March 16th at 2pm and 7pm. At our 2:00pm show, our elementary students will attend free of charge. Parents may attend as well by paying $5 at the door for either show. Our play mission project this year is the Strain House at Soaring Wings Ranch. You may support the mission by purchasing items off their wish lists.
Missions Week Mission Project: For our mission project this year, we have joined with the Upper School Drama Club in supporting the Strain Home for Infant and Preschool Children at Soaring Wings Ranch. By clicking on the links below and purchasing items or gift cards from the registries, you are helping to provide necessities for the children at the Strain Home. Please drop off your purchases at the lower school office during school hours by March 15th. If you have any questions concerning Mission’s Week, you may email srowlett@conwaychristianschool.net.

Eagle’s Nest Spring Clearance Sale: The Eagle’s Nest has marked down prices on most items in order to make room for future merchandise. Most items are priced at or below cost! Spirit Day/Dr. Seuss Day: Lower School students may dress as Dr. Seuss or a Dr. Seuss character this Friday. Students may wear a CCS t-shirt and jeans if they don’t dress for Dr. Seuss Day. Upper school students may wear a CCS t-shirt and jeans for Spirit Day.
