Thank you and well wishes to Mrs. Massey: Each of us on staff at Conway Christian is called by the Lord into this ministry of Christian education. Some of us are new to the journey and some have dedicated the majority of their life to raising up the next generation of leaders in a biblically-directed, Jesus focused way. Gloria Massey is one who has spent the majority of her career leading in Christian education, with 24 of those years spent as the primary administrator of Conway Christian. As a school we are indebted to her service throughout the years.
After much prayer, Mrs. Massey has accepted the position as the new Head of School at Abundant Life. We are thrilled for Mrs. Massey to have the opportunity to assist another Christian school. She too is excited about this new task. Please take time to thank her for the countless hours she has poured into Conway Christian and wish her well in her new role at Abundant Life. She will begin her duties at Abundant Life beginning June 1st.

New Tax Laws and Private School Tuition: The Basics, Lunch Orders Due and more
May 02, 2018
New Tax Laws and Private School Tuition: The Basics
This spring Congress passed a comprehensive new tax plan. The new set of laws features a section on rules and regulations regarding 529 investment plans. Prior to the new tax law families were only able to use 529 resources for college tuition.
The new changes, adopted by Arkansas’ legislature, allows 529 resources to be eligible for primary/secondary private school tuition. The bottom line of the new law: 529 plans can be used for private school expenses just like they have been used for college expenses. This is an opportunity for families, whose children attend a school like Conway Christian, to take advantage of this new tax law and potentially save money at tax time.
Conway Christian certainly doesn’t claim to be an expert on tax law so we suggest seeking an experts opinion and actually reading the new law. In addition, this new law will not change the way our billing works or any other business office function.
This new law provides something for our families to consider. Take time to do the research and see if it can benefit you. If you have questions please contact a financial advisor, local legislator or research it online.
2017-18 Yearbooks: The 2017-18 yearbooks have been distributed. Lower School students only - If your child ordered a yearbook but did not receive it, please have them go to the front office. If you did not purchase a yearbook, you may buy one from the school office while supplies last. The price is $45. Please make checks payable to CCS Yearbook.
Spring Book Fair: The CCS spring Book Fair will be open until this Friday, May 4 in the Lower School library. The book fair will be open from 7:50am - 4:00pm each day except May 4, when it will close at 10:00am. All items are Buy One Get One Free of equal or lesser value.
Lunch Orders: Lunches for the weeks including May 7 - May 23 are now open for ordering.
Lower School Parents should check with their child's teacher prior to placing your order as end of the year events are now being scheduled. Upper School Parents should check their child's finals schedule prior to placing their order. Ordering will close at the end of the day on May 2.
