See You at the Pole, Homecoming Spirit Week, Lunch Order Deadline

See You at the Pole: We invite all parents, students, faculty and staff to join us at our flag plaza in front of the Upper School tomorrow morning beginning promptly at 7:30 for a time of student led prayer and worship. Lower School students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Homecoming Spirit Week/September 30th - October 4th: Homecoming 2019 at Conway Christian is Friday, October 4th! Spirit Week will be filled with exciting events and fun “dress-up” days for our students. Please see the lists below for events and dress-up themes for both Lower and Upper schools. Students are encouraged to dress according to each day’s theme. Students not participating in the dress-up attire should wear their normal school uniform. Please note: Wednesday is still a uniform day (excluding the crazy socks) for lower school students regardless of participation.

Monday - 80’s Day: Wear your most iconic 80’s attire

Tuesday - Character Day: Dress as your favorite Disney character or superhero

Wednesday - Crazy Sock Day: Wear your silliest socks w/ school uniform

Thursday - Western Day: Dress in jeans, cowboy hats, boots and other western wear

Friday - Spirit Day: Show your Eagle Pride by wearing your CCS t-shirt and jeans

Monday - Decade Day: Dress as someone from a specific decade from history

Tuesday - Movie Character Day: Dress as your favorite character from a movie

Wednesday - Meme/Social Media Day: Dress as someone or something from social media. Get creative!

Thursday - Redneck Day: Brought to you by Beau Stevenson, dress as a redneck

Friday - Spirit Day: Show your school spirit against devils by dressing as angels
Lunch Order Deadline: The deadline to order lunches for the weeks of September 30th-October 11th is this Thursday, September 26th. Please check your child's schedule before finalizing your lunch order.
School Pictures: LifeTouch will be on campus September 26th and 27th to take individual school pictures. Picture packets have been sent home with students. 1st-11th grade will take pictures on the 26th and PreK-Kinder students will take pictures on the 27th.
Kindergarten students must wear a uniform shirt for pictures but may still wear jeans since this is a Friday.
Eagle’s Nest: We’ve received a shipment of new fall apparel, including long sleeved t-shirts and hoodies, in the Eagle’s Nest! Stop by the Lower School campus before or after school any Monday, Wednesday or Friday and shop for all your Spirit Friday needs. Faulkner County Fair Parade, Early Dismissal and more

Faulkner County Fair Parade: The 2019 fair parade is this afternoon at 5:00. This year's theme is "LEGO to the Faulkner County Fair." Conway Christian has a float in the parade and we are excited to fill it with our students! If you would like to ride the float or walk in the parade, please wear a Conway Christian t-shirt and meet the CCS group on Faulkner Street between Chestnut and Robinson at 4:30pm. Students must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Early Dismissal Tomorrow: We will have early dismissal tomorrow for faculty and staff professional development. The Lower School will dismiss at 11:45. The Upper School will dismiss at 12:00.

Lunch orders will close at the end of the day on October 10th.

Lunch Order Deadline, Angel 1 at CCS and more
September 11, 2019
Lunch Order Deadline: The deadline to order lunches for the weeks of September 16 - 27 is this Thursday, September 12th. Please check the lunch calendar in your ParentsWeb account to be sure lunch orders are complete and paid for.
Paid lunches will be in BLUE on the lunch calendar and unpaid lunches are in RED and will not be ordered. Please check your child’s schedule prior to finalizing your order, as field trips have been scheduled during this time period.
Angel 1 at CCS: Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s Angel 1 will be landing at Conway Christian’s baseball field this Friday night at 5:45pm in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. CCS families are invited to meet the pilots and see the helicopter up close until 6:45pm. Friday’s home football game will be dedicated to those who beat childhood cancer and to the families who have lost loved ones to this horrible disease.
Extended Care Available: Extended Care will be available for preschool - 6th grade students, who are not registered with the extended care program, during Professional Development on Wednesday, September 18 from 11:45a.m. - 3:00p.m. Please contact Kristie Burford at kburford@conwaychristianschool.net by Monday, September 16 if you will be using this service for the professional development day ONLY. School lunch will not be provided. Please send a sack lunch with your child if they are staying. Extended Care for students that are registered with the extended care program will be available until 6:00p.m.
