Announcements:

The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is of utmost importance to us. Please help us prevent the spread of sickness by following the guidelines set forth in the Student Handbook. 

• Any child that has been vomiting must be kept home for 24 hours from the last incident. 
• If your child has fever, he/she must be fever free without the aid of medication for 24 hours. Please review the guidelines below:

The school reserves the right to exclude any student whose physical condition interferes with the ability to learn or exposes other students to potential communicable disease in accordance with the Arkansas Department of Health. Children Must Be Kept Home From School: 

• if they have a temperature over 100 degrees (temperature should be normal for 24 hours without the aid of medication before returning to school). Confirmed cases of flu require up to 48 hours without fever before the student may return to school.
• if they have had vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours
• if they have an undiagnosed rash
• if they have a contagious cold with watery nose, glassy eyes, and persistent cough or sneeze if they have weeping or bleeding lesions that cannot be covered or effectively controlled with medication

Bowl-A-Thon (6th-8th grade) is this Friday, September 20, 2024, at Maly’s Entertainment. 6th grade – 8th grade will bowl from 8:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend! Students may wear their Bowl-A-Thon t-shirt or Spirit Day attire. All students must wear tennis shoes to participate. Reminder: students will be able to play arcade games after they've finished bowling.  Bring your pre-loaded Maly's game card or EXACT CASH to purchase a pre-loaded $10 or $20 game card. 

On October 1st please show your support to our Conway Christian Band and Choir by coming out to our first Spirit Night at Tacos 4 Life! Between 5 and 9 pm, tell the cashier you're here for the CCS Band/Choir fundraiser and 20% of the money from your meal is donated to our music department. This money is used to pay for instruments, competition fees, music, and everything else our students need to thrive. Please make plans to come enjoy delicious tacos and support our music programs! 

The art department is looking for donations for any of the following items: 

• Old magazines 
• Paper towel roll tubes 
• Bottle caps 
• Old or broken jewelry 
• Plastic containers 
• Odds and ends 

If you have any of these items, please drop them off at the front office or have your student bring them by the upper school art room. Thank you for investing in our student's creativity!

Announcements:

Tuesday, September 10th, will be a $2 no uniform day for 6th-12th grade only. Money can be turned in to Mrs. Turner at the office that morning. On no uniform days, students may wear sportswear including athletic pants or shorts (must be uniform length) and jeans (no jeggings/leggings or holes). Students may wear non-CCS t-shirts that are appropriate for a Christian school. Students may not wear hats or hoodies. Dress must be modest and neat.

Bowl-A-Thon pledges and sponsorships are due this FRIDAY, September 13, 2024. We will be taking pledges through the PTF square site, https://conway-christian-school-ptf.square.site.  Students can share this site with family and friends to help support their efforts. All money donated will be tax deductible (mailing addresses must be provided). Friday, September 20, 2024, at Maly’s Entertainment.
