The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is of utmost importance to us. Please help us prevent the spread of sickness by following the guidelines set forth in the Student Handbook.

Any child that has been vomiting must be kept home for 24 hours from the last incident.

• If your child has fever, he/she must be fever free without the aid of medication for 24 hours. Please review the guidelines below:
• The school reserves the right to exclude any student whose physical condition interferes with the ability to learn or exposes other students to potential communicable disease in accordance with the Arkansas Department of Health.

Children Must Be Kept Home From School:

• If they have a temperature over 100 degrees (temperature should be normal for 24 hours without the aid of medication before returning to school).
• Confirmed cases of flu require up to 48 hours without fever before the student may return to school.
• If they have had vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours
• If they have an undiagnosed rash
• If they have a contagious cold with watery nose, glassy eyes, and persistent cough or sneeze if they have weeping or bleeding lesions that cannot be covered or effectively controlled with medication

Lunch Orders Open: Lunch orders for the weeks of September 30th - October 18th are now open. Orders will close the end of the day on Thursday, September 26th. 

Faulkner County Fair Parade: Join the “Conway Christian Round-Up” Float featuring Toy Story’s Woody (Mr. Carson) and Jessie (Mrs. Damitra Crow) for the Faulkner County Fair Parade TODAY, Tuesday, September 17th! All are welcome to join by meeting at the float, lined up on Faulkner Street, between Caldwell and Robinson, by 4:30pm to ride or walk in the parade.  Students should wear western attire, Toy Story costumes, or CCS shirts.  Students must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

Elementary Bowl-A-Thon: Bowl-A-Thon will take place this Thursday, September 19th at Maly's Entertainment.  Kindergarten - 2nd grade will bowl from 9am-10:30am and 3rd - 5th grade will bowl from 12:45pm-2:15pm. Parents are welcome to attend! Don’t forget to wear your Bowl-A-Thon T-shirt or Spirit Day attire.  All students must wear tennis shoes to participate! Reminder: Kindergarten - 5th grade students will not be allowed to use the arcade area during Bowl-A-Thon.  

CCS Band and Choir Spirit Night at Tacos 4 Life: Show your support for our Conway Christian Band and Choir by coming out to our first Spirit Night at Tacos 4 Life! On October 1st between 5 and 9 pm, tell the cashier you're here for the CCS Band/Choir fundraiser and 20% of the money from your meal is donated to our music department. This money is used to pay for instruments, competition fees, music, and everything else our students need to thrive. Please make plans to come enjoy delicious tacos and support our music programs!

Eagles Nest: The Eagles Nest will be open for in-store shopping on Friday mornings from 7:45-8:45 am. Please enter from the exterior door that is between the intermediate and high school building. You may also order from our online store.  When shopping online, please be sure to put your student’s name and grade in the Notes section, we will send your orders home with your student.

 Support our Booster Club as you shop at Kroger!! Our Organization Number is DG505.  Kroger will donate a percentage of every purchase to our Athletic Program.

Early Dismissal TOMORROW: We will have early dismissal for teacher development and planning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11th. Elementary students will be dismissed at 1:30 and upper school students will be dismissed at 1:45.

Lunch Orders Due: Lunch orders for the weeks of September 16th - 27th are due at the end of the day this Thursday, September 12th.

CCS Jump Rope Team Tryouts: Students in 3rd - 6th grade are invited to join the CCS Jump Rope team. Tryouts will be Monday, September 16th at 3:15pm in the Antioch Baptist Church Gym (150 Amity Road). Students will need to wear athletic clothes, tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle. If you have been on the CCS team previously, please bring your speed rope. Judges will be looking for single jumps and any tricks you’d like to showcase. Our team will practice at Antioch every Tuesday from 3:15-4:30pm. Come join the fun!! For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact Becky Ellis at 501-269-0000.

CCS Bowl-A-Thon: Bowl-A-Thon pledges and sponsorships are due this FRIDAY, September 13, 2024. We will be taking pledges through the PTF square site, https://conway-christian-school-ptf.square.site.  Students can share this site with family and friends to help support their efforts. All money donated will be tax deductible (mailing addresses must be provided).
