May 10, 2022
By Eagle Weekly
Water Bottle Reminder: As the weather warms up, please remember to send a water bottle to school with your child every day. Students need to stay hydrated while running and playing on the playground.

Lower School Basketball Uniforms: If you have not returned your child’s basketball uniform, please do so as soon as possible.

PTF No Uniform Day Fundraiser: The May no uniform day fundraiser will be this Thursday, May 12th. Lower school students may bring $5 on the morning of the no uniform day and pay at the front door. Upper school students can turn in their money to Mrs. Martin. In addition, parents may pay ahead of time through PTF’s Square account, which can be accessed here: https://conway-christian-school-ptf.square.site/. On no uniform days, students may wear hats and caps, sportswear including athletic shorts (shorts must be uniform length), and jeans (no jeggings/leggings). Students may wear non-CCS t-shirts that are appropriate for a Christian school. Students may not wear tank tops or pajamas. Dress must be modest and neat.

Lower School Spirit Day: Our Lower School Spirit Day for grades kindergarten through 6th grade will be Thursday May 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  We are celebrating the end of another great year here at Conway Christian and have several fun activities planned for your children. All activities this year will take place outside. Here are a few things you need to know to help your child have a safe, fun-filled day:
  • Students will receive their spirit day t-shirts (if one was ordered) on or before Tuesday, May 17th to wear on spirit day. Students may wear uniform length athletic shorts with their spirit day t-shirt and shoes suitable for water play.
  • Centennial Bank will be providing lunch (hot dogs and chips) for the students. If your child does not want a hot dog, the child may bring a lunch.
  • Water will be provided throughout the day. The students will be spending a significant amount of time in the sun. If they burn easily, please send sunscreen.
  • Paletas (homemade ice cream bars from Las Delicias) will be served to all kids
  • Activities for grades K-6th may include water activities. You may send a towel and a change of clothes with your child so they can change if needed. Change of clothes must be uniform length athletic shorts/CCS t-shirt. If your child does not want to participate in the water activities, alternative activities will be provided.
Volunteers Needed! We need moms & dads to help on this super fun day. If you are interested in helping out during our day of fun for kindergarten through sixth grade, please go to https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0D4BACAC2FA7F58-spirit
